Can I use a 250W PSU fan on my 400W PSU fan because the 250W is extremely quiet and the 400W is LOUD?

My 250W is a PSU that came with my HP and the 400W is an old ZIppy Emacs but the fan is extremely loud
my warranty have expired already and i wear rubber gloves so that i would be safe
But the Fan speed of the 250W is not as high as the 400W, do you think my 400W PSU will overheat?

The fans are usually compatible as long as you make sure that the fans have the same number of wires coming out of them, and they are the same size (fan speed is not really that crucial as long as there isn't too much of a difference). Verify that the fans are mounted in the same direction as the original (there are 2 arrows on the fan). Do not open the power supply with the ac cord attached at all. The connectors to the drives and motherboard should also be disconnected while replacing the fan just in case. Insulated tools are really all you need (rubber gloves are kinda extreme and tough to work with).
I have replaced a lot of fans and haven't gotten shocked although it is possible especially if you just don't pay attention to where you are putting your fingers.
