whats the difference between dell studio 15 laptop and the xps 16?
theres 100 bucks difference and to my mind not much more difference in capacity? Does anyone have those computers how would you compare? The dell person in Malaysia recommended the xps 16 laptop to play the sims 3 on.
XPS is a marketing group of dell, it is their "luxury" line like a lexus, infinity or acura is similar to a the respective toyoata nissan or honda. Studio is the main line, inspiron is the budget line.
When you buy a lexus it uses the same chassis as a toyota, but the reats are more comfotable, the carpet is thicker, there is more sound deadening material and when you take it to the dealer, you get better after sales service. The same with an XPS.
Dell used to have trained knowledgable american tech support with XPS. IT is definately worh paying a hundred for trained expericed educated tech support. Now they still have americans but they're reading off a script on screen. The XPS is now more of a 'I paid more for mine than you did mark" Functionally, many of the parts in an xps are interchangeable with a studio
Of course a xps 16 has a 16" screen the studio 15 has a 15' screen. If there is only 100 dollars difference I DOUBT that they are configured similarly.
