when my tortoise sleeps should i leave the 100 watts on or switch to the 60 watt light bulb?
ok i have a russian tortoise[female] sometimes i leave the 100 watt light on but still i ask myself if i should put on 60 watt.
You should only keep the light and the heat on for normal daytime hours.
I have a Hermann and I keep the heat and ther UV light on for about 12 -14 hours but both should be turned off at night.
You need to do this to replicate the conditions they would have in the wild.
