Why can't I log on to the only profile I have on windows vista?
Once I click on my Profile to log on, the dialog box to choose from dial-up connections show up. No start menu. No desktop. Nothing. Just a black background and the Dial Up Connection Dialog box. Please help.
oh boy - um - ok here's what you do. restart the computer, and while it's loading you'll see a button (like F11) to press if you want to use System Restore - keep pressing it while the computer is loading - eventually you'll get to the menu where you can use system restore - that should bring your computer back to when it was working fine.
