how do I run a VGA monitor cable to a RCA TV?
I have a newer laptop but it does not have the composite video port. it has another monitor port and the capability to use dual monitors. is there any way to use an older tv ith only the three RCA ports as the other monitor?
The only way to do that is with a signal converter box that has the electronics to translate the laptop's VGA signal to composite RCA TV. Be warned however that it might not be worth the money to buy that converter box, because an old obsolete low-definition boob-tube TV can only display very low resolutions.
Don't even think of buying one of those VGA-to-RCA cable adapters. Those will NEVER work. They are intended for video cards that have a specially-built VGA port that can send out a TV signal, and will NOT work with just any VGA port. Your laptop's VGA port is NOT one of those specially-built ones, otherwise that adapter would have been included.
