is high def tuner required to use a lcd or plasma tv?
Currently have satellite dish service and am looking to purchase a lcd or plasma tv.... will i need to now add an hd tuner and pay more or can a lcd or plasma tv work reasonably well with standard satellite service?
It will work, however, if you watch on a large HDTV then the image will definitely show the flaws.
Hi Definition TV service is now free for both satellite and most cable tv providers.

The HD receiver monthly fees are usually a few bucks extra a month but well worth it.
