barebones kit problem?
OK I recently purchased a Biostar MCP6PB M2+ Motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Processor, Ultra 2GB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz Memory, PowerUp ATX Black Mid-Tower Case w/450W PSU from tiger direct. My problem is that when i flip the power switch on the back of the power supply it stays on (the fan of the power supply keeps spinning) and doesn't go off for me to turn the computer on with the power button. I don't get any boot up on my screen but i'm just curious do you think i need a video card?

yes I know it has a built in VGA but im not getting a signal at all and i've checked everything over and over and i'm still not making any progress. my main issue is the power supply staying on with i flip the switch on i even tried changing the voltage and nothing
That motherboard has on board video, so it should work as is....
Check all the power plugs, make sure everything needed is plugged into the right power jacks. Usually there's the main motherboard plug (20 or 24 pin), a separate 6 pin (usually - sometimes 4 pin) for extra CPU power, and sometimes an extra plug for other options.... Make sure the CPU fan is plugged in right into the fan pins socket on the motherboard....
To use a power button on the front, you have to have the case plugs all plugged into the headers on the motherboard, in the right places - check the manual....
