How many AA lithium batteries would you need to power a standard EV sedan with a range of 100 miles?

the website above shows a small light weight aerodynamic EV that is powered by 200 AA lithium batteries.
you would need alot more to power a light weight, but standard sedan,... i was just wondering how many AA lithium batteries you would theoretically need to power a regular EV with a range of 100 miles?
A regular sedan, whose gas equivalent would get 25 mpg, would use 400 wh/mi as an electric car. To go 100 miles it would need 40,000 wh, or 40 kwh.
It wouldn't make sense to use non rechargeable batteries, like the AA lithium ones you're asking about. AA nimh batteries are around 2500 mah and 1.2 v. That's 3000mwh or 3wh. You would need 40,000/3 which is 13,333 batteries. Each one weighs 1 oz, so the lot of them would weigh 833 lbs.
