WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A PCI CARD IN YOUR COMPUTER?
WHAT I MEAN BY THIS IF I WAS TO ADD A PCI CARD WHAT WOULD THE CARD DO BECAUSE IVE HEARD IT SPEEDS UP YOUR COMPUTER BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT SPEEDS UP IN YOUR COMPUTER.....LIKE YOUR DOWNLOAD SPEED OR LIKE THE INTERNET OR JUST THE WHOLE COMPUTER OVERALL
PCI is an interface or sorts. A graphics card may be a "PCI" or "AGP" graphics card. If you bought a soundcard for your machine, it would probably be "PCI". It doesn't effect the speed. Just allows you to addon different technology (soundcards, network cards, RAID controllers, SATA cards, graphic cards, USB cards etc.)
