ok i need a psu and cant find the demensions to fit into my case please help me!!?
ok this is what i got in there right now, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148041 , ive spent too many hours looking for the right one, going crazy now. i was looking for an 850w psu with modular and 4 12v rails. please pick one out for me my budget is 100- 150 but at this point i dont care anymore, just want it to fit and work right.thanks (1000 points) ive posted here a lot and a lot of smart people here, hopefully you can help me again. (could you please explain why very few poeple list dimensions? am i missing something?
When a power supply gets bigger than 650 Watts, they have to increase the size of the capacitors and other components and this ends up being a bigger box. Unfortunately, a LOT of psu and case makers do not do something very SIMPLE and very COMMON SENSE, like...giving you the dimensions....I have wondered why they don't give this very common sense information to the public, but what I figure is, they are AFRAID their competitors will try to match theirs (as if, you couldn't buy theirs and duplicate it to the nut and bolt!). I have not owned one of the larger psu's myself, but I do know they are bigger than the standard psu's 650 watts or below.

Which says:
Standard ATX power supply dimensions will usually be in the range of 3.25" x 6" x 5.5" (H x W x D) while typical mATX (Micro ATX) power supply dimensions are in the range of 2.5" x 5" x 4" (H x W x D). While these dimensions may shift slightly based on the unit and manufacturer, mATX units will always be smaller than ATX units.
So I fugure your 650 Watt is the 3.25" x 6" x 5.5" (H x W x D)
