Water droplets trickled down the window slow at first then their rate accelerated. Gusts of sharp wind hammered at the bedside window which seemed to have woken him. Shrouds of shadows blanketed the room except the ounce of sunlight seeping through the carefully buttoned curtains. He picked up the alarm clock that dwelled on an end table between the two beds; it read 6:17 A.M. He perched his head back on the soft, silk patterned pillowcase and glanced over to the other bed. A girl was entangled in the beds sheets, sleeping, like a rose petal floating on calm waters. Slivers of light dripped through the double doors. They shined on his face luring him back further and further into that transparent glass room that some would call Hell and others, an alternate dimension.
If that kind of writing irks you then apparently all you've read is books like Twilight...unadvanced in every way.
