I'm going to buy combo drive(DVD ROM & CD RW) for my pc. Pleae, suggest me a good brand...?
I don't like sony as I'm disappointed with sony cd rw already. Which is the best among: Creative, Liteon, LG, Samsung, Asus?
Here are the brands that are good for DVD :
1. Lite-on : leadder in optical drives.
2. Sony : decent performance. few hundreds costlier than lite-on.
3. LG : average performance. economically priced.
4. MSI : decent build and absolutely silent.
5. Pioneer : another leader. High priced.
6. Gigabyte : good build and performance.
7. Asus : good build and performance.
A dual layer dvd writer costs you from 4500 - 5500Rs depending on the
brand.

Gigabyte GO-W1616C: Rs. 6075 (Best Performance IC CHIP)
Samsung 16x DVD-writer: Rs. 4050 (cheapest I could find).
Conclusion: Go for the Liteon SOHW-1653S or the Gigabyte GO-W1616C
depending on your budget.
