Acer Acpire 5536, Windows 7 update, touchpad driver needs re-installing - help!?

I've just upgraded my laptop (Acer Aspire 5536) to Windows 7, it's fantastic and all, however the touch pad doesn't work as it used to. It works as a mouse yes, but the scrolling bit on it which I could previously use does not consider itself a scrolly thing, and simply works as the rest of the touchpad does, as a mouse. I've found that I can install the driver for it but I wasn't sure wether to install the driver vendor ALPS, the driver vendor synaptics, or both??? I don't really know what either of those mean which is my biggest problem. Any suggestions???? Many thanks x

U better 2 use synaptic driver because it gives better performance, just install Acer Acpire5536-Windows 7-touchpad-synaptic-driver.... be sure the driver u installed is support windows 7 nonetheless it will not work...

I think u will find these staff here for vista edition here:-- http://www.laptop-software.com/acer-software/acer-aspire-5536-5536g-driver-software
they do not have windows 7 acer aspire 5536/5536g driver software only similar i find that is here:--http://www.laptop-software.com/acer-software/acer-aspire-57385738g5738z5738zg-windows-7-64-bit-drivers/

OR windows xp or vista's driver may work with windows 7 i dont know actually??!!!

Try these options, u may find ur solution. if u r not, try to contact with exparts or u may not be able to run touchpad on windows 7 then u have 2 stay with old vista or xp system....
