Why don't people know the difference between hard drive space and memory (RAM)?
Is it the fault of Sony. Why does Sony call hard drive space memory then?
Hard drive space and memory are not interchangable.
Settle down easily offended people. Sony refers to the hard drive space on the PS3 as 'memory'. Is this why most people also refer to their hard drive space as 'memory'. Sheesh undo your panties from your cracks.

For some reason Sony don't seem to like to refer to the PS3 as though it were a computer, but of course that's what it basically is, just one that's dedicated to playing games.
It's surprising that considering how many people have PC's/macs now, or at least have the use of one, that many people don't know basic things like the difference between hard drive space, and RAM memory, but, a lot of people just don't. I suppose that most people must just take the functions of their technology for granted, without being interested in how any of it works.
