OCZ Vertex in raid 0?
I am wanting to run three OCZ Vertex drives in raid 0..... With Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit....
I am wondering which raid adapter works the best and what to shy away from..... There appears to be a lot of problems with different scenarios.....
I am currently running on board raid and it seems to have very little gains when adding more drives....

You are on the right track. I ran three Vertexes in Raid 0 and they topped out at 390 MB/s reads and 280 MB/s in writes with onboard raid. These drives are so fast by themselves that one of them is faster then 2 Velociraptors in raid 0.... So, take your answers with a grain of salt. And, you can run three in Raid 0.
But, yes. You need a dedicated raid controller with at least a 256 MB buffer in Sata II.
I am currently running my three Vertexes on an Adaptec 2405. It is insanely fast pulling just over 700MB/s reads and 490 MBs on the writes with even higher burst. They are absolutely silent drives without any heat. You made a very wise choice with the OCZ Vertex.

PS. When you set the offset on the partition alignment, set it for the same size as the Stripe size in your raid setup. 128 works very well.
