I want to change processor in my HP Pavilion p6243w Desktop PC and i dont know if this one will fit . PLZ HELP?
I have single core cpu and i want to upgrade to this cpu ,AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor - OEM
Here is my info of my pc:

You're missing one key piece of information from your specs. That's the maximum wattage for a cpu that your motherboard can support. For instance I wanted to upgrade the cpu in my Compaq Presario a while back, went to compaq's web page, found my computer specs, from there checked the motherboard specs, come to find out my motherboard only supported up to 65 watt cpu's and guess what? The cpu in there was already 65 watts and the faster cpu's I was looking to uprade to were all 80 watts up, as wattage goes up with cpu clock speed.

Rather odd they don't list a maximum wattage, as the Phenom II x4 965 is a 140 watt cpu, though they've now started producing 125 watt versions of it. So yeah looks like that upgrade to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor will be no problem at all.
