PCMCIA makes laptop crash?
Whenever I insert my Belkin Wireless G plus MIMO network card into my laptop's PCMCIA port, the laptop hangs with only powering off and on fixing it. When I take the card out, the system restarts.
It worked fine for months until now. I recently upgraded my RAM but it even worked for a while after that.
I have tried reinstalling drivers for the card and drivers for the PCMCIA port. I have tried reinstalling windows but none of that works. Help?
1. Check to make sure the pins have not been damaged. (possibly on the laptop)
2. Try the card on another laptop.
3. Try ubuntu live linux (http://www.ubuntu.com) -- no need to install anything on your hard drive. See if it freezes there.
