will I blow this latching relay?

that has an output of 2500mAH = (2.5 Amp) and i want to run this power through this relay: http://www.medibix.com/detail.jsp?view=detail&sku_id=889779&product_id=455730
that has a contact rating of 1Amp,
will I blow this relay? how can I run it?
I am running 3 LEDs with this at

100mA
20mA

this battery is extremely expensive
you can get much cheaper ones or much larger one for that price
the relay, the coil operates on 6V
the contacts have to support the load current
if you close the contacts into a short circuit yes it will burn out
depending on the load, it may be wise tu use a fuse maybe 0.5A or less to protect the relay contacts
