How do I install a Firewire Pcmcia Card?
I was needing to install a Firewire PCMIA Card on my Acer laptop but I didn't know which would work best for it. Also I didn't know how it could be installed, like plugging it in etc. If anyone could point me to a site of some kind that shows how to install them or which would work best for Acer computers I'd appreciate it.

there's no technical expertise required to install it.
pcmcia is a format designed so anyone can plug/unplug cards into their pc.
you get the card, right side up, and push it into the slot.
If the slot has eject buttons and you need detail on how to work these, consult your laptop manual.
If you are running xp, tiger, leopard or vista, it should recognise the card and offer to install drivers for it.
If you have the driver disk, just insert this and instruct your os to search for drivers.
There shouldn't be much more to it than that. You may not even need to install drivers. it may just plug in and work.
