Just bought a new laptop and cannot connect to the internet?

I recently purchased a Dell latitude| D600 i think it has Wi-Fi i went on Hardware check heres all my findings about the topic.. If ou find out how to help me my email is death2312005@yahoo.com <--- also my msn. Please help!

Does the "Dell Truemobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI card" show up in your device manager? If so, does it have any red or yellow symbols on it? If it shows up ok in device manager, then it may be that you just need to turn on the wireless card...there is usually a button or switch on the outside of the laptop that turns on the wireless card.

If you are using a hard wire connection, just be sure that the LAC connection in Network properties is set for "obtain IP address automatically.".
