How do I put in a nose screw?
Hi guys,
I just bought a bunch of new nose screws for my 3-month old nose piercing. I had changed it out once before for a night when I changed from a straight pin (which I curved) from my original piercing jewelry. When I tried to put the new one in, however, I couldn't do it! The shape is slightly different (a more pronounced U-shape) than my original, and I tried for so long the hole started to bleed once I forced the original screw back in. Help?
Nose screws are such a pain! You have to push the straight, little end into the hole while at the same time (don't stop pushing!) turning the rest of the ring away from your face, and while you turn, push down to get the curved part through. It should hurt just SLIGHTLY, because you have to push that thing through the hole. It should NOT hurt a lot. I have seriously spent an hour trying to get a nose screw in before, and if you hate it as much as I do, get a bone style stud, where the end that goes in the hole is enlarged so it won't come out. It hurts a tiny bit when you have to force it through the hole, but it is SO much easier, and mine has never come out in the year that I have been wearing it. Good luck.
