Sony KDL46EX500 very faint faded horizontal lines?
My new Sony LCD has very faint horizontal lines across the screen. There are about 3-4 lines i can notice and they appear to be about an inch tall and cross the length of the screen horizontally. All of the lines are near the middle about 2 inches apart vertically. Where the lines are present the picture is slightly discolored and faded. It is a CCFL back-lit TV, I was wondering if there could be something wrong with a few bulbs or is this just normal?
With out seeing a picture of it, if it is horizontally (left to right) it's usually a bad panel. If it's still under warranty call Sony but no, what you're seeing is not normal. If it's not under warranty contact Sony to see what they can do for you on a refurbished panel.
