laptop with wireless pcmcia card going in and out of connection (network connection unplugged) - what do I do?
can anyone provide any troubshooting tips on the following error we are getting on a hp pavillion zv6000 laptop with a belkin pcmcia wirelesss G card:
'network cable unplugged' msg is seen every few seconds ;
on start/control/ panel / network connections/ wireless / properties it says enabled , then disabled.
NOTE: this is my brother's laptop and it was working fine at our house. But when he brought it home, he is getting the symptom described.
tried uninstalling and reinstalling the newtwork drivers. the av I have on it, avg free, was what I had on it when it was at my house, and it worked then. Nothing new there at my bro's house.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the network drivers for that card? Is your anti-virus/wares program interfering?
