Japanese products and you...........current events?
A few people have said that they will be boycotting all Japanese products due to the Japanese whaling in the Antartic. I heartily agree that whaling is unacceptable but just how far will be people go to boycott all Japanese products?
Does that also go for Japanese cars, computers, game consoles, cameras. Basically, anything electronic that comes out of Japan including micro chips that are used in American & British products.
Sony, Nintendo, Toshiba, Hitachi, NEC, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Matsushita, Pioneer, Sanyo etc etc etc
That means everything from alarm clocks to kettles. The chips are imported in from Japan and manufactured by British firms.
Just how far will people go?
I was going post this very question but you beat me to it.
I would love to boycott japanese goods, for us all to do it with enough impact on their economy that they would drop the killing of whales but i know in my heart it's not going to happen.
I'm a big fan of japanese goopds, my house should have a bloody Sony sign on the roof after i've thrown so much money in their direction.
The number of products is vast, the number of countries they sell to is, well, probably just about every country on the planet and most of these don't care anyway.
I've seen whales in the wild, fantastic animals and this is one of those things where i really want to stop buying their goods in protest but just know that deep down i wont.
