USB 2.0 motherboard connections to a multicard reader??
I have got a multi card reader that slots into the front bay of my pc. It comes with a usb 2.0 connector cable that has to be connected to the motherboard. The cable has 5 pins on the top and 5 pines on the bottom with the end pins on the right being blank.
The confusing thing is that on my Athlon motherboard the connector for the usb 2.0 cable has the same pins but with different ones blanked out. On the top row it has one connector then a blank, then 3. on the bottom row it has 3, then a blank then one.
Do I need an adaptor cable or is my motherboard connection somehow wrong. What are the connection on other peoples Athlon motherboard like for the USB 2 connection? How can i get round the problem, please help!!
