Where is the second memory slot on HP 6735s Laptop?
I have a HP 6735s laptop, it says it has two RAM slots. I have located one under the plastic memory module cover on the back but can not figure out where the second is?
Brilliant....I have found it in the memory slot! Will look harder before asking next time!
The information I find is confusing. Looking at the link the other poster gave line two of the under the memory specification suggests there are two slots, line three suggests there is only one.
So it is possible you misread what you saw under the cover and there are indeed two slots there.
Some HP machines have two slots, but only one is user accessible (accessing the other requires disassembling the machine).
HP also tend to make the same machine in an almost infinite number of versions, several for each market plus HP and Compaq badged versions. It may be that you have a version with only a single slot.
Below is the link to the manual for changing memory, but that only appears to mention one slot, although there appear to be two in the illustration of changing memory.
