What does a good workout consist of?
I have access to a jumprope, weights, yoga mat, hula hoop, and a step machine.
My goal is to have a nice slim body for next summer. So what should my workout consist of in order to complete this task?

I think a good workout should consist of a verity of exercises. I think a good idea is for you to make a routine exercise workout. I would start with a warm up like maybe using the hula hoop to jump in and out (this may sound simple but it's a good start-up routine). Next, you should do weights, step machine, and jump rope. It really doesn't matter the order of the three. For the weights only do small things you can handle, and never lift more than you can take. The step machine is a great way to exercise by pacing yourself and going a little longer and faster each day. The jump rope is not really needed in this routine, but if you use it, make sure you don't work yourself too hard and it's not about going fast. At last, i would do a cool-down workout like jogging, jumping jacks, or toe touches, but you could use the yoga mat to stretch out. To make it a real workout, I would spend two minutes on the start-up, five minutes on each of the three middle exercises, and five minutes on the cool-down.
Also, go a little longer each day, so you can really drop the pounds.
