laptop/notebook won't boot after cleaning insides, no bios screen, help?
hi all, i hope someone can help here
basically, my gericom notebook was shutting itself down randomly so i thought it must be overheating, i took it apart and the cpu heatsink was boiling hot, so i took it and the cpu (they are attached) off and had a look, not to my surprise the heatsink was coated in dust so i hoovered it all off, then took the rest of the case off and took the graphics card heatsink off, cleaned it, put it all back together and then pressed the on button
the fans turn on, the led power light turns on and then the led for the disk drive starts o flash, and then nothing, nothing on screen, no hard drive light, nothing.
help?
my brother said that it could be because of a static charge... i dont know what ive done wrong, someone help please?
thanks, i think all of the pins are aligned properly though, anything else?
Not likely
Just take it back off again make sure there are no bent pins and that the cpu is in place correctly
