What do I do when the warranty dept cannot find a repair to fix my LCD TV?
The Warranty/Part dept has sent out the new part. But we must have it installed by an authorized repair person. Their authorized person. The issue is they have no repair person in this area or surrounding areas to do the work. So, they have been telling us "give us 48hrs". It's been 3 weeks of 48 hrs!
Call the person highest up the manufacturers corporate ladder that you can find, a vice president, if possible.
Ask them politely to replace the unit.
Talk to the Attorney Generals Office in your state if you are in the US.
Talk to your US Representative and Senators Offices for help with consumer affairs.
Call any consumer advocate you can find that will talk to you about the problem.
If the manufacturer has a web site use it to lodge a non-emotional complaint. If they have both US and foreign web sites post it on both Continue to do so frequently until someone responds.
Re-read the warranty to find any additional clauses regarding repairs.
LASTLY talk to your attorney.
Don't wait too long, you nay have to meet certain deadlines within the warranty claims terms.
Why did they send the part to you?
Shouldn't the repair depot have the part sent to them for their repair person to carry to repair your unit?
