Can you use a pic microcontroller to drive a hitachi sp14q006-zza lcd screen?
I have this lcd display and i was wondering if a pic can drive it. Its a 320 x240 lcd display with a 14 pin ribbon connector for the video and a 4 pin connector for the touch screen portion. Is it possible to drive this with a pic and if you can does anyone have information on how to do this?
I have a choice between pic 16f84a, 16f877 ,and 16f872
There are an enormous number of PIC microcontrollers, many are small and can't be used for your task, many are big and advanced and can be used for your task. You will need to specify which kind of PIC you are planning to use.
For information on how to do it, all the information is contained in your chip choice's datasheet (available for free download on microchip.com's website) and the info sheet for your LCD display (which should tell you the proper data coding and voltages that it needs to receive).
