Where can I find replacement bulbs for LCD projection TVs?
Actually the replacement bulb I need is a Sony XL-2400. The bulb is a complete housed unit that sells for almost $200. There is some indication on the internet that a person might be able to purchase just the bulb if you can find out who makes them. That is what I need to know. Who manufactures the bulb used in the Sony XL-2000 bulb assembly?
I wrote XL-2000 by mistake....it is the XL-2400
I don't know how else to add another question. I really appreciate the sound advice and I could very well end up buying the complete bulb/cage assembly. Having said that, can either of you tell me who makes the bulbs in the XL-2400 and where I might find them? At least if I can get them, I can make a decision. If I can't get them, then I have no choice. Thanks.
You're better off getting it from SONY.....

At least with a SONY LAMP in it's cage, you can sleep soundly not worrying about a latent fire or a possible meltdown.....
Some indication on the internet? I'd like to get the numbers on how many have had their bulbs blow prematurely.....
I don't even like taking them apart.....but I have had to...
