2009 and 2010 Macbook Pro question?
1. How good is the battery? I’m used to my laptops dying after 2 hours so anything beyond 3 hours would be great.
2. How good is the cooling? The whole aluminum thing is cool and all but it seems like it would actually be worse for cooling. I don’t want my lab to set on fire while I’m using it on the couch or my palms to start sweating while its resting on the palmrest.
The battery on any MAC is far superior to any Windows battery. The battery life of a my new mac book PRO is usually around 8-9 hours with common use. The battery life on my little mac book (the old black one) is about 4 hours.
It does get pretty warm, but only when you are doing a lot with it. The fans are able to properly cool the device without and problem. I would suggest getting a lap desk when you use it on your lap.
