Is a 4 Gauge wiring kit too big for my Subwoofer set up in my car?
I have two 10 inch Rockford Fosgate P2's and running a 700 watt amp to it, I was thinking about getting a 4 gauge wiring kit, but I was curious if it was too big? Could there be any problems with that or is it good?
If another size is better what would you recommend?
Well someone was going to give me a 4 gauge wiring kit so money is no object.
8 Gauge should be plenty. If you plan on adding any additional devices in the future you may want to use 4ga. If all you plan on using is a 700watt amp 8ga should be fine and cheaper than 4ga. If you add more devices later you will need additional wiring for those devices as well. If you use 4ga. you can always add a distribution block to split that 4ga wire into multiple 8ga wires.
