Intel Celeron Processors, what is the problem?
I would like to buy a new laptop and have been looking at my university guidelines on what to go for. One of the recommendations is to avoid Intel Celeron processors if possible. What is the problem with these processors?

Cheap cheap hardware. Your university is just doing you a favor and ensuring you don't get a system that can't do the work that you need it to. I'm sure by now the university has run into this problem more then once and just wants to make sure that no one else does.
