Plugged in new laptop Inspiron LCD, boots up then fades to white, whats wrong?
I purchased a laptop screen for my Inspiron 9300 online and it is a samsung screen, i am sure it is compatable, but when i turn it on the boot up screen comes up and it loads almost fully. Then it starts to have a ton of lines and ultimately fades to white. What is wrong please help with any advice.
It could be a few things.
1. Bad LCD screen (usually need a good lcd to confirm this)
2. Loose connection from video cable to LCD. (try disconnecting and reconnecting)
3. Defective motherboard (doubtful but slim chance)
Test your laptop with an external monitor. At least if it works you can still use your laptop while you check for the other possible causes.
