How to make my ink cartridge last longer?
My printer is telling me that my black ink is almost gone, though it is still printing fine. In any case, what kinds of little tricks can I use to get the most out of my cartridge before I put in a new one?
I'm trying to conserve black ink- how will printing in greyscale do that?
Set the font to grey and then use draft. Setting the font to grey will use a bit less than black as grey has less depth than black. The draft will then place the ink lighter again on the text. Grey scales is just shades of black so will not actually save you anything if the document is already all black! Draft is the lesser ink coverage setting.
