laptop that has the longest lasting battery for each Dell, IBM, HP,toshiba. type of battery and life?
i did this assignment already on my computer, but then i was on the phone with dell and they told me to reformat to get to the bottom of my computer issues. i completely forgot to save that, but i saved all my other projects. i'm tired and i want to go to sleep, so can anyone help me out? I need the maker/model of the laptop, type of battery, and how long it lasts. thank you

To answer your question, it doesn't really matter which system you select... the batteries are not manufactured by that computer maker, they are manufactured by a battery maker. For example... remember all those recalls on batteries a while ago? The ones where the portables were catching on fire? Well, those weren't Dell's batteries, or HP's batteries or even Mac's batteries... they were Sony batteries. Sold to the manufacturers of system to sell with their machines.
So, it really doesn't matter who you go with, the batteries may all be from the same place.
On my Dell Inspiron, I get just under 4 hours of battery life. On my Latitude for work, I get about 2 1/2 hour, depending on what I am doing. On my sons XPS... he gets about 3 hours.
