High Speed Parallel
Two 9v batteries for high speed 9/18VDC motor. Series or parallel?
Hello everyone! 
I'm not too savvy with electronics, so I need your help ^_^
I am currently in the steps of finding what parts I need for a project of mine; I am making a small electronic gyroscope!
I will be using a high-speed 9/12/18v DC motor with two 9v batteries. My question: What will make it run faster: Series or parallel? Will I need resisters???? If so, what kind?
I will also be using a potentiometer to vary the speed at which the motor is going. Is a potentiometer what I need? If so, what kind???

You're in way over your head. You need to describe how it's goin to work a lot better. There are more parts to circuits than batteries and resistors as well. You are better off with a potentiometer or variable resistor that just slapping some random resistor on there. A resistor will lessen the voltage. No offense, but unless you have a kit, this is way too hard for you to do without getting an engineering degree.
