If my laptop has duo processer does this mean I have double GHz on my computer?
Sorry if my question sounds silly. My laptop says that I have 1.90 GHz. I have duo processer. Does this mean I have double that amount of GHz? I am wanting to buy a game that requires 2.4 (as I am running on vista. XP requires 2....why is this?) does this mean that this game will just not work? thank you
Sadly not. You simply have 2 processors working at 1.9 Ghz which is not the same a single processor running at 3.8.
If the laptop doesn't meet the minimum spec it doesn't mean that it wont run - it simply means that it probably wont be all that playable. As long as you have a good dolop of RAM you should be ok.
Having said that, its the graphics card thats probably going to be the crucial aspect here though. Laptops don't tend to have gaming spec graphics capabilities, unless you have specifically bought a gaming rig with a good card. If graphics capabilities are not up to scratch then the game will be unplayable. Thats the bit you need to check above all else.
