Question for the laptop savvy --need good advice?
I'm just wanting a laptop for basic entertainment purposes - photo, music, net browsing, etc. I need help deciding which is truly the better computer/deal 'cause I'm completely new at laptop shopping & don't fully understand all the specs. Thanks!

For what you're wanting to do, you might be better off with the Toshiba. The HP is a 64bit machine and, 64bit software is not as prevalent as for the 32bit machine, which is Toshiba.
Furthermore, you're dealing with Vista for an O/S. You will want no less than 2GB of RAM for that to really fly great. Again, Toshiba has that already installed. The differences between the processor is the single biggest thing, offset by the 64bit in the HP.
I personally know that Toshiba's tech support is outstanding on response time and their answers. (check it out, 1-800-457-7777)
Toshiba also offers an excellent recovery CD, which, is almost found in none of the others.(You can have one made for you, usual cost is 99$)
