what are some possible improvements and innovations?
well look at gddr ram optimized for graphical operations and as processors encorperate more GPUS as well and CPU core you will see a hybrid Ram chips which can deal with intence work loads. in the past 10 years we have gone from 256 standard memory to currently 3 - 4 gbs in most computers sold this will onyl get higher as we drop 32bit and faster as more and more data is required SDR could make a come back if it gets cheaper but DDR for now is the cheap easy option which will grow fast and fast the more the processor manufacturers want to push it and will virtualisation Ram will become even more important.
