Why does my floppy disk drive kep spinning?
I just bought a new, more powerful power supply. I connected it up and when I turned on the power, the fdd kept spinning and the engage light remained on. I tried reversing the power plug to the fdd but got the same result. I bought a new fdd and it does the same thing. I checked the ribbon cable connecting the fdd to the fdd controller and that's fine. Right now I've got the fdd unplugged but I want to get it working again. I'm still running Windows 98 SE on this computer (can't afford a new computer) and Windows uses startup disks when formatting a hdd. Can anyone help?
