500GB WD Portable drive won't run firewire on Vista?
I have a 500 GB WD portable drive and it has a firewire port on it and I purchased a USB+IEEE 1394 Combo card drive with a firewire plug on it.
I plugged it in and vista installed it automatically. The USB ports seem to work but the firewire port won't even turn the drive on when plugged in. Is there a drive for the firewire I'm missing?
I'm using a 9 circuit cord for the connection between the card and my portable hard drive
Also: I'm using a Toshiba Satellite A135
