What program do I use to import audio from external source?
I have a couple of cassette tapes that I want to import to my computer. I have an external tape player (boom box) and I bought a cord that would plug into the ear phones jack on the boom box and the other side could be plugged into the computer (either the "In" slot or the "mic")
What program would I use to import audio using this method? I just want to import clips from the cassette tapes. I have windows media player, nero, audicity, itunes, Sonic, etc...

you need a 2 track audio editor. There are loads around. For PC, Audacity is a great free program that should suit your needs. If you have some money to spend Sound Forge by Sony is great, fast and has a very good NR (noise reduction) plugin, which will get rid of a bit of that unwanted tape noise.
