If I get a new soundcard for my laptop, do I need new speakers?
I've been going crazy trying to get my sound to work with no luck. I've come to the conclusion that my onboard sound card is fried and I need a new one. I'm thinking about the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook ExpressCard for about $50. I take my laptop with me everywhere so I need a compact and light solution. I don't want to carry around speakers with me argggg. Will the new sound card work with the built in speakers?
No you don't have to get speakers,the card will work with your existing speakers but before you get the card make sure you have the correct drivers for the build in sound card.Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and find your model of go to the makers of your sound card website to find the drivers.
