Is there something wrong with my EVGA 9800 gtx?
I just bought an EVGA E-Geforce 9800 gtx+ and my frame rates and picture quality have dropped below that of my old 7900 gs oc. The 9800 gtx is supposed to deliver tons more performance, but i am getting crappy frame rates in both WoW and CS:S along with lower pivture quality. Could there be something wrong with my card? I have installed the brand new drivers and still see no difference.
Have you uninstalled the old card driver properly? Make sure after you uninstall the old driver you also clean the registry files and the system file left by just uninstalling it on windows. To do this you need ccleaner, just search on the net and install, read the guide how to operate it. And another very important things is by using Driver Cleaner Pro this will remove properly old drivers system files left which cause a conflict to the brand new driver latest nvidia driver downloadable at the net to have conflict. Just using this with proper guide so that every will be smooth.
Warning on using Driver Cleaner Pro, If you are using a nvidia motherboard chip, thing is on my past experience it will also remove the nvidia motherboard chip drivers, so in case it happen just prepare to reinstall it, then that's the right time for you to install the new lastest driver for your 9800gtx+. You may also check for vista and XP gaming tweaks at the source below to optimize you OS. Good Luck dude ^__^
