How do I copy a DVD onto/into a VCD?
I'll use my situation as an example:
I have original Michael Jackson DVDs and want to be able to make a video with various clips from those DVDs (with Windows Movie Maker). I've noticed that WMM doesn't/can't import movie files from the DVD but it can from a VCD. I know that it might be illegal depending on which country/state you're in (or everywhere, i dunno), but I don't intend to sell it or anything, just for my personal viewing pleasure.
So is there a way to copy those files onto a VCD or another DVD and have WMM be able to import it? or is there another way for me to do what I wanna do?

You may try this dvd converter, it can help you convert DVD to WMV video, then you can add the wmv video into windows movie maker for burning to VCD or DVD. And here is a guide about how to use the DVD converter.
