help! how to wire up roof aerial with double braid + double shield?
help! how to wire up roof aerial with double braid + double shield cable to pickup digital television? do I hook up the internal copper and the inner most braid or the outer braid or both, your help will be very much appreciated. I dont know whether iam trying to shield outside interference or crosstalk in the wires themselves? or both?
IF both outside braids are NOT separated by an insulator consider it as ONE braid.....in that case you can connect both or just one if the braiding is too thick to go into the RF connector.....
IF you have them separated by an insulator, you CONNECT the INSIDE braid to the RF connectors, and you connect the OUTSIDE braid to the device that cable is screwed into.....and the BEST way is, to ATTEMPT to connect BOTH braids ONLY on the DEVICE END, NOT the Aerial or BOTH ENDS !
That's the way to do it.....
