why is a macbook better than a dell or a compaq laptop?
I am graduating from 8th grade soon, and I asked my parents for a 13in. macbook. They wanna know why a macbook is more expensive than a lot of other laptops, and I said because it's better. They wanna what's better about it. Can anyone help me? Please and Thank You!
Why do you want a macbook if you don't know why its better, poser.
Its better because its a closed system. Apple knows exactly whats inside their computers so their operating system is more "tailor made" then say windows, which has to account for 98% of the parts and pieces on the computer market.
That and Mac OS X is generally acknowledged to be a very well designed and very tight, funtional operating system, and many people find that using a Mac is more enjoyable than a windows computer (Most things just work quicker, and have a more seamless integration)
If you want to convince them bring them to the store and test one out. If you can't see a difference why would bother. Get a badass laptop when you go to college, and buy whatever you want yourself.
