How does the athlon dual core processor 2.4ghz stack up against the same intel processor?
I see the intel fanship came in on this one. I use both my kids have a core2duo and i use a amd dual core 2.6.
I will honestly say that i can install programs, updates and so on 2 times faster than thier core2duo.
In playing a couple of games they seem to do a bit better than me but nothing skill cant overcome.
The difference in the chips is the memory controller with intell ur stuck at 1066 or the newest 1333 mghtz front side bus when i have had my amd running at 4200mghtz front side buss which means the information travels faster to and from your processor and hard drive so either will work but to me amd does alot better and as for benchmarks well.
You beleive what you want to but until you try them both side to side for 10 minutes you wont really know. Amd actually smokes intel in installing and so on.
